In a hospital by the River Kwai at Kanchanaburi, Thailand, and close to Myanmar, Wilai was born to parents whose origins are 'unknown' but thought to be somewhere in the border forests between the two countries. Linda relates how a person giving a eulogy on the death of a friend, referred to that 'dash' in their life.
